The Power of a Woman-Led Business
When women succeed in business, the entire community thrives. Research consistently shows that women entrepreneurs reinvest a significant portion of their income—often around 90%—into their families and communities, compared to 35% for men. This creates a powerful "ripple effect" that leads to better health outcomes, improved child education, and stronger local economies.
The Challenge
Despite their immense potential, women entrepreneurs, particularly in developing regions, face significant barriers, including limited access to financing, formal business training, mentorship networks, and persistent social biases. Many rely solely on personal savings to start their ventures and struggle to scale their businesses due to these systemic hurdles. A significant gap persists in established business ownership, with far fewer women owning formal businesses than men in many parts of the world.

We partner with trusted local organizations that have established application and vetting processes. These partners identify women who demonstrate a clear business plan, a strong commitment to growing their enterprise, and who operate within underserved communities. Selection is based on need, potential for impact, and the viability of their business proposal.
Our approach is holistic. While financial assistance (microloans or grants) is a key component, we heavily emphasize non-monetary support. This includes essential business training (e.g., financial literacy, marketing, digital skills), mentorship programs with established professionals, and networking opportunities to ensure these businesses are not just started, but are sustainable and resilient in the long term.
